Grey Lore by Jean Knight Pace and Jacob Kennedy

Despite the perks of living with her rich aunt, Ella’s new life in Napper, Indiana, is pretty much tragically boring.

Until Ella starts hearing strange voices.
As rogue wolves begin to stalk the edges of town and a serial killer with a penchant for silver bullets draws closer, the city of Napper seems to wake up.

'Grey Lore' is one of those books I could hardly put down. It is that life went on, including engagements I could not and did not want to get out of. That I got strange dreams the time I read it until late at night. Otherwise I would have read on even more.

Writing a good review is hard. Writing a good review of a book you simply loved is even worse. No book is perfect, but it seems to be hard to find anything about this one I did not like.

The story is fast-paced and detailed at the same time. The world-building is simply wonderful, with the right balance between how we perceive the world as real and fairy-tale. The references to old lore were so great!

I received a free, temporary copy through Netgalley, in return for an honest review. I will definately be buying this book as soon as I can, for a re-read and to let others read it as well.
